Zinc Bistro is not quick or cheap. It's about fine quality, great service and attention to detail, and when you figure what you get here for the price, it ends up being a good deal.

13. Caruso's Italian Ristorante

Caruso's is a good Italian restaurant in Gilbert, and has the potential to be a great Italian restaurant. The strip mall on the southwest corner of Greenfield and Baseline is probably not the best location for Caruso's, but once you find it you will probably want to make a return trip. I know I will.

19. Summer means swimming lessons and family reunion

Iam writing this column while daughters Elizabeth and Susan are making us a breakfast of scrambled eggs and toast. I need to get this in today's mail so they are taking up the task of preparing the morning meal. It is nice to have them home from school during the summer. We plan to do a lot of laundry and general weekly cleaning today. We'd also like to go over to the old house and do some clean up.
