Nutrition Notes: Going Against the Gain
By Karen Collins, MS, RD, CDN - The average adult gains one to two pounds a year beginning around age 30. According to researchers, adult weight gain is a health risk - even for those who are not currently overweight. While losing excess weight is recommended, perhaps we are best advised to prevent weight gain in the first place. If not, a small annual weight gain could easily escalate into 30 to 60 extra pounds over the course of several decades.

The bottledwaterworld awards in 2007 has attracted a record 169 entries from 32 countries. The awards judging event was held on 6 August at Sheraton Hotel, Heathrow, London. And the finalists have been named ahead of the awards presentation during the 4th Global Bottled Water Congress in Mexico City on 13 September 2007 where the winners will receive their trophies.

1930, another German businessman called Ludwig started to dig a well near the original spring and very good quality water, which became known as Laoshan Mineral Water emerged from the well not far from where his countrymen saw the Hedgehogs. Ludwig then invest and established a bottled water plant near the well to produce China’s first bottled mineral water named ALAC Water, only 37 years behind the worlds first bottled water.
